Learning Turkish language is a trial. Not because it is difficult (because it is) but because the nearest lesson are at Burgess Hill and it is such a long way to go on a weekly basis. However the people in the class are all very helpful and we all want to learn for our own reasons.
Google Translate is helpful but only in as much as it translates individual words so that's why you need a teacher who like ours is a Turkish national and speaks good english.
I am looking forward to gooing out to our apartment this May so that I can start to practice what I have learnt and also to discover what I have got wrong.
I want to do some birdwatching this time as the Tuzla arae is good for all kinds of species especially flamingoes early in the year

Welcome to my blog
Hi there
I started this blog to let you into our world of holidays in Turkey. With the weakness of the pound against the Euro it seems like Turkey is now the place to go to stretch your ever decreasing pocketful in the credit crunch
However back in 2005 when the world of credit was never ending Spanish holiday properties were amazingly expensive and Turkey was a new horizon. Four years on and it still seems a faraway place but with its attractions for all to see
To see some of the photos go to our website and see for yourself. This gives you a flavour of the apartment at Lakeside Garden. The site was opened in 2008 and is on (or almost near) the Bodrum peninsula. The airport is a nice 20 minutes away so us and other travellers don't need that long journey after getting off the plane
Playing golf, sitting on the beach, relaxing by the pool, exploring the countryside, or birdwatching, are just some of the many things you can get up to on your holiday at our apartment at Lakeside Garden
